In January our school hosted a debating workshop with native speakers for our three bilingual classes. For three whole days they participated in interactive workshops instead of taking part in their regular lessons.

Here are some of our students’ impressions:

„In my opinion the workshop was great because we switched between games like Werewolf and Switch seats and tasks like debating and advertising. Also, it was a good way to revise our vocabulary.“

„What I liked most was the number of tasks that required teamwork. Personally, I learned lots of useful information when it comes to debating and proving your point.“

„I think I mostly enjoyed the groupwork because you could share your opinion and ideas and learn what others think about the same topic.“

„The morning warm-ups were fun, and I laughed a lot which made it easier to open up in front of others. All in all, I think it really helped me to overcome my fear of speaking in front of others.“

„Our trainer helped us improve our speaking skills as well as our confidence. The learning process was fun!“

„I learned a lot in those 3 days. It was more relaxed than a regular lesson, so I could speak more freely. I met new students from the other 10^th grade classes, that was a positive point as well.“

„Our trainer was great, and I wish school could be like this every day.“

It looks as if we should do this again next year!
